Nestled in the heart of Pinellas Park, Pho Kien Giang stands out as a vibrant Vietnamese restaurant that masterfully captures the essence of traditional flavors with a contemporary touch. Known primarily for its rich and aromatic pho, this gem elevates Vietnamese cuisine to new heights, delighting locals and visitors alike with every bowl served.
The star of the menu is undoubtedly their pho, with popular options like Chicken Pho, Meatball Pho, Pho Tai, and the indulgent Pho DAC Biet Large, all simmered to perfection, boasting a deeply savory broth that hits every note of warmth and comfort. The seafood pho adds a fresh ocean twist, while the Bun Bo Hue offers a spicy, vibrant alternative that invigorates the palate. Fans rave about the broth’s complexity—clear yet rich, fragrant with star anise and ginger—making each slurp an experience to savor.
Beyond their pho, Pho Kien Giang’s variety shines with enticing highlights such as the crispy Egg Rolls and Fried Spring Rolls, both perfectly golden and packed with savory fillings that crackle with texture. The Fried Chicken Wings come highly recommended, praised by customers for their crisp exterior and juicy interior—a true standout appetizer that pairs wonderfully with their house specialties. The menu also boasts an impressive selection of noodle and rice dishes: Bún Tôm Nướng Bò (vermicelli topped with grilled shrimp wrapped in beef), fragrant pork fried rice, and flavorful stir-fried shrimp, each crafted with authentic Vietnamese herbs and spices that tantalize the senses.
Drinks are no afterthought here, with the signature Vietnamese Coffee bringing a robust, sweet bitterness that perfectly complements the food. Tea lovers can indulge in the creamy, soothing Thai Tea, a perfect refresher alongside the spicier dishes.
The ambiance of Pho Kien Giang reflects its food: warm, inviting, and casual, making it an ideal spot for both quick lunches and relaxed dinners. The newly relocated venue boasts a fresh, clean, and comfortable environment, praised by patrons who find the friendly service and relaxed setting an excellent match to the culinary offerings. Customers like John Dobosz and latte americano have specifically noted how the atmosphere complements the quality of food, enhancing the overall dining experience.
While the vast majority of diners have left glowing reviews—highlighting the vibrant broth, crispy wings, and authentic flavors—Pho Kien Giang’s attention to detail extends to customer feedback, ensuring every visit is better than the last. Some, like Mackenzie Ott, found the spring rolls lacked in texture and flavor, pointing to the kitchen’s openness to evolving recipes and refining sauces to meet diners’ tastes.
In essence, Pho Kien Giang is a must-visit destination for lovers of Vietnamese cuisine in the Pinellas Park area. Its generous portions, aromatic dishes, and dedication to authentic taste create a memorable culinary journey, inviting you to come back again and again. Whether you’re craving a hearty bowl of pho, flavorful vermicelli, or crispy egg rolls, Pho Kien Giang offers an exceptional taste of Vietnam that will leave your senses fully satisfied.
Solid choice for pho! We had the chicken wings, pork egg rolls, meatball pho, and combo fried rice. Wings were very good, nice and crispy. Great egg rolls. Pho was excellent, my only complaint was the fried rice was a little bland.
The new location is very nice and the chicken wings remain the best I’ve had. Pho is damn good, too.
Very good pho and friendly service. Broth was delicious. Pho is available in different sizes. Highly recommend the fried chicken! New location is fire!
The pork and shrimp fresh/spring rolls had a strange consistency and the rice paper just fell apart. Like they were too wet? They were missing green onions and I would not order them again. The pork was a mince and lacked flavor. The sauce for the rolls was really weird and not very try tasty to me as it was too sweet, not very savory...def prefer a peanut sauce. The whole roll with the sauce was just like mush. I had the beef pho with meatballs and the bun bo hue spicy broth. The noodles were really nice, a thinner rice noodle. I did not care for the meatballs as they had large pieces of chewy, gristle, cartilage inside. This just wasn't the place for me. The service was slow and when I entered the front door, no one greeted me. I just kind of stood there for a while looking at a bunch of tables full of dirty dishes and half-eaten food. I had to go wait in line at the register to be seated. This spot was a fail for me and I was really excited to try it because of all the rave reviews. I seemed to be a bother to the employees.
We had not been to the new location since it opened. We were overwhelmed by the great service and fantastic food. Can't wait to go back again. I would highly recommend this recommendation for Pho and appetizers.
Excellent pho! The broth is the best and there was plenty of solids in the large bowl, though I did drain the entire thing. Fresh basil, culantro, jalapeno and sprouts were just right to add your own touch. When you add in the phenomenal fried spring rolls that we started with and figure in the very reasonable pricing I didn't even complain about the credit card surcharge, which I still think it's a bar business idea.
They have some of the best fried chicken wings I have ever had, with their homemade sweet and sour sauce. The Dancing Beef is amazing as well as the Pho. This play is really authentic and I highly recommend.
Authentic Vietnamese little dinner. Was out fishing in the area and was craving pho. And this place definitely hit the spot, and the service was good and quick. I myself had the beef pho with all the fix ins, we also ordered the combination fried rice, and the Bun Bo Hue. I also ordered some spring rolls for an appetizer. The Pho was great and was the perfect meal for the afternoon giving. My brother says the combination fried rice was solid and five it high marks. My buddy says the Bun Bo Hue was good. Will be coming back when in the area.
